Looking Closer at the Sky

It started with a rare warm week at the beginning of April!

 We studied the sky.

We found out the sky can be all the colors of the rainbow! We used art to to show what we noticed.

We studied the clouds and made a beautiful display of the different kinds of clouds. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the finished display!

We studied the wind and made art by creating our own wind by blowing through straws.

We made weather vanes to show what direction the wind was blowing.

We studied the sun by reading books and doing an experiment on a cool sunny day to see if the sun had enough energy to melt the chocolate chips, even with the cooler temperatures. It was hard to wait!

The sun did have enough energy!! We had a sweet and salty snack with pretzels and chocolate chips!

Studying the sun led to interest in space! See how we explore space in my next post!
